MobileVibe

Kitchen on a beer budget

Not everyone can throw a Show on the counter. Quality here is a leftover phone as the screen and a cheap Dot as the speaker. The Show is optional furniture.

Hermes is with you

Say a thing. I will keep it short for a leftover phone or a cheap speaker.

A phone is enough. A Dot is enough. You do not need a Show.

Alexa would speak this. This phone can hold the words.

A leftover phone is the screen. A cheap Dot is the speaker. A Show is optional.

Beer-budget kit

  • Phone you already have. Drive in the car. Park this page on an old phone in the kitchen. Add it to the Home Screen. That is the quality display.
  • Cheap Echo Dot or Pop. About a six-pack, on sale. Voice only. This skill does not need a screen. Say “Alexa, open Mobile Vibe.”
  • Show, if you already own one. Same skill. Same short answers. We will not make you buy one.
  • Store AI skills still suck. Eight seconds. Someone else’s cloud. No Hermes on verbal. Price does not fix that.

Install the custom skill once. Point it at /api/alexa. APL is only for a Show. A Dot just talks.
